Gregg Solms, CBI

Gregg has a business background & experience which includes leadership roles in corporate manufacturing businesses (Union Camp Corporation, Mobil Chemical Company) resort & hospitality management (The Homestead Resort, Hot Springs, VA and The Grove Park Inn & Country Club, Asheville, North Carolina), outplacement consulting (Drake Beam Morin, Inc., Solms & Associates, Inc.), real estate investment (resort rental properties in North and South Carolina), and small business ownership (Mail Boxes Etc./ QPS Quality Pack & Ship).  In 2004, Gregg acquired an Asheville “main street” business brokerage firm, in operation since 1986, with over 250 completed transactions.  The name was changed to Southeastern Regional Business Brokers to reflect the expanding territory and professionalism of the firm which provides business brokerage, valuation and consulting services to clients in the Southeast.  Gregg is a licensed North Carolina Realtor/Broker and a member of the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) and Vice President and member of the Board of Directors of the regional affiliate, Carolina-Virginia Business Brokers Association (CVBBA). Gregg and Southeastern adhere to the highest standards of ethics and practice.

Gregg’s civic involvement includes the Asheville Chamber of Commerce, Asheville Downtown Association and the Rotary Club of Arden, NC.  Gregg’s current favorite business author is Rob Slee, author of Midas Managers, Midas Marketing and Private Capital Markets.

Gregg graduated from Emory University in Atlanta, GA with a B.A. degree in 1972. Outside interests include flying,  fishing,  boating,  kayaking,  scuba diving,  and wood working.

J. Tom Armstrong III, CBI

Tom has a strong financial services background as an officer in major banks and financial institutions in the Southeast. He is proficient in loan production, financial analysis and secondary marketing of loans for the past 40 years from small businesses to the Fortune 1000.

He has been an SBA loan specialist for the last 20 years and continues to assist business buyers with their financial needs. Tom is a licensed Real Estate Broker in North Carolina and a licensed agent in the State of Florida affiliated with a major Florida brokerage firm and a member of the Business Brokers of Florida (BBF). He has also obtained the Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) designation from the International Business Brokers Association. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a BA degree.

Personal: Tom splits his time between residences in Maggie Valley, NC and Winter Springs, FL. He is married with 2 sons in the professional/executive areas of Pharmacy and IT. He enjoys golf, snow skiing, mountain hiking, wine and driving his Corvette. He has been an active member and officer of the Rotary Club of Oviedo, FL for over 40 years.
